Dr. Ann Romanowski
Dr. Ann Romanowski established her solo private practice in 1994 , which has evolved into Periodontal Associates of Iowa City, PLLC. She brings enthusiastic leadership and 18 years of clinical experience to the practice.
Dr. Romanowski received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Tennessee and her Masters degree from Emory University. She received her D.D.S. from the University of Iowa and continued her education there earning a Ph.D. in Periodontics/Anatomy. Dr. Romanowski remains on faculty at the University of Iowa Department of Periodontics.
Dr. Romanowski is active in many professional organizations. She has served as treasurer of the University District Dental Society since 2004 and is a past president of Johnson County Dental Society. She is also a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, American Dental Association and International College of Dentists.
Dr. Romanowski has authored/co-authored numerous scientific papers. She has lectured nationally and internationally and is well respected for her work. She has received numerous awards for her accomplishments in periodontal research, and also received the C. Mahlon Fraliegh award for scholastic and clinical excellence.
Dr. Romanowski resides in Iowa City with her husband and two sons. She enjoys family activities, sports events, and volunteer work.
